Michael V. Parks, born December 23, 1949 in Duncan, OK, passed away peacefully May 11, 2015 in Oklahoma City. Mike was a 1968 graduate of Duncan High School and a 1973 graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and subsequently earned his CPA license in 1994. He was employed by Security National Bank in Duncan for 26 years and by Investor's Trust Company for the last 16 years. Mike was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Duncan and Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. He was active in the Duncan community for many years, having served as President of the Duncan Chamber of Commerce and Assumption Catholic Church Parish Council, as well as on the Board of Directors of many organizations including The Communities Foundation of Oklahoma and Investor's Trust Company. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, J.V. and LaVerne Parks. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Michaela and Rowdy Anthony of Edmond, his daughter and son-in- law Lindsey and Justin Lindsay of Mustang, his four grandchildren Jordan, Abby and Paige Anthony, and Hudson Lindsay, as well as his long-time companion Debbie Berney of Oklahoma City and their precious shih tzu Hurley. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Debbie Parks of Duncan. Mike was a sweet, kind, caring, fun, generous, loving, and faith-filled Christian man who was passionately devoted to the Catholic faith and loved all of God's creatures. He was deeply loved and will be intensely missed by his surrogate in-laws, the Berney, Blalock, and Chancellor families of Oklahoma City, Edmond, and Dallas, and by his large extended family and many friends.
