Mike Gore

Steven Mike Gore of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on 08/09/17. Mike was born in Lawton, OK on 08/24/1955 to Hubert and Katherine Gore, who preceded him in death. Mike lived in Oklahoma and Texas as a child, moving to Oberlin, KS at age 7. He always loved Oberlin and called it home. Mike was married to Debra Gore in 1996. He had two stepdaughters, Stacey Moran and Stephanie Nicholson and two grandchildren, Trenton and Annalise Moran, whom he adored. He was the beloved brother to Judy Kitchens and her husband Dean, Carol Sadler and her husband Nick, Gary Gore and his wife Patty and uncle to nephews, Chuck Kitchens, Danny Sadler, Ron Sadler and nieces, Sherri Allen, Kristi Rikard, Tina Harding, Tawnia Lashley and Tami Esposito. Each one of his nieces and nephews thought he or she was his favorite, and they all were. Mike loved his family, his dogs, music, eating pizza and watching OU football. He was an avid guitarist and played in bands in his hometown for many years. Mike will be remembered for his keen sense of humor which was dry, quick and often aimed at himself. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, 08/14/17 at the Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
