Mildred Josephine (Richardson) Rizek, went to live with her Lord, Sunday, March 7, 2021. She was born December, 26, 1928 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. After graduating from Bray High School she moved to Oklahoma City. She lived at the YWCA and went to Draughon's Business College. She met her husband, George Rizek of 70 years, at a dance at the YWCA. She had a few jobs in her life, but the one she made her career was at OPUBCO. She worked over 30 years at OPUBCO, where she was a supervisor with the computers and retired in 1984. Mildred was a devoted daughter, wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling through the US and Europe. Mildred loved to cross-stitch and give finished projects to friends and family. You could always see her sitting in her chair, watching TV, with a cross stitch in her lap. Mildred was also a big sports fan, whether it was her child, grandchild, niece or nephew, Thunder basketball, OSU or OU she loved to watch "her Team" no matter the sport. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Dona (Bratton) Richardson; brother George Duane Richardson; sister Winnie Mae (Richardson) Spivey; and daughter Audora Lee (Rizek) Milani. She is survived by her husband George Rizek, who lives at the house; children Granville M. Rizek of Edmond and Julia Ann (Rizek) Cook of Edmond; 4 grandchildren Christy Milani of Grand Prairie TX; Amber (Cook) Metz and husband Keith of Gilbert, AZ; Bryan Cook and wife Tanja of Polegate, UK; and Jennifer Milani of Dallas, TX; and 3 great grandchildren Charlie Dennis Metz and Ripley Mackenzie Metz of Gilbert, AZ and Benjamin Dale Cook of Polegate, UK. Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2021, from 5 to 7 pm at the Smith & Kernke N. May Ave. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 1:00 pm at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Elijah Flowers That Do Not Wither Fund.
