Mitch came into this world on March 28, 1987, surrounded in love by families from two continents. He passed from this earth on December 7, 2022, still steeped in love. His absence from our lives is deeply felt as he was a unique gentle soul.He attended Kaiser and Cleveland Elementary Schools, Classen Advanced Studies, and PC West in Oklahoma City. He also attended the University of Oklahoma and went on to real estate school. He was fascinated by technology and had a keen mathematical reasoning, even from childhood. Eventually, those interests developed over the years landing him in a successful software career as a business advisor with Thryv. He was fascinated by quantum physics theories, philosophy. and other expansive universal concepts. He believed and reminded us often that things worked out the way they were designed to. He rarely had a complaint and was incredibly resilient in nature with an inspiring ability to overcome challenges in life.In addition to his scientific and technical interests, Mitch was musically and artistically skilled. He loved mixing music and spent many years of his life doing so as a hobby and a part time DJ for a period. He was a student of Aikido until he was in middle school, and as an adult, was drawn to meditation and yoga along with other spiritual studies that he and many of his friends and family had in common and found interesting. These conversations at family gatherings were always colorful and will be missed. He was a loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and a loyal friend who will always be remembered for his quick sense of humor and his gentle way, nonjudgmental and accepting of others. He was curious, intelligent, kind, and looked outside of the box on many topics. Uniquely wired and loved to discuss topics that stretched the imagination and perspective. Mitch faced the highs in his life with excitement and positivity and was often described as one that lit up a room when he walked in. His outlook on life, his perpetual curiosity, his kindness, gentleness, and his love will be missed by those who knew and loved him.He is survived by his mother, Suzanne, Lilly girl (his loyal dog), his grandmother, Celeste Nelson, and all the Rule family: John, DonaKay, Kayla (Boomer), Henslee, Marshal, Nicky, Hunter (the baseball star), Cindy, Kristen, Kevin, Drake, Rayne, Jesse, baby Ryder, two Colorado aunts (Shannon and Shannon).
