Morgan Closs Locke, Jr.

Morgan C. Locke Jr., age 82, died on Saturday, November 20th peacefully at home.He was born November 23, 1927, in Houston TX. The following year the family moved to Del Rio, TX where he graduated high school in 1945. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated 1949 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.After graduation he went to work in Waco, TX and then served in the U.S. Army in the Chemical Corp. and married Nelda Wigley on June 13, 1953 in Waco, TX. Morgan worked in many locations in the U.S. and abroad. In each place, he was sure to find long-lasting friendships, adventure, exploration and the closest golf course. He was also an avid Texas Aggie alumnus. In the course of his career, he worked on projects in TX, CO, NM, GA, Canada, and Holland to name a few. Mr. Locke worked for Kerr McGee Chemical Corp. in Trona, CA and Oklahoma City, OK, and upon retiring, Morgan spent six years in Safi, Jordan with Jacobs Engineering Group.Morgan is survived by his wife, Nelda, his son and his wife, Bob and Debbi of Bremen, IN; his daughter and her husband, Mollie & Steve Eisenman, Waco, TX; grandson, Mike Locke, Bremen, IN; granddaughter Sarah and her husband Cody Childs, Waco, TX; two great-granddaughters, Summer and Savannah Childs; three brothers, Kenneth and his wife Lou Ann, Arkadelphia, AR; Allen and his wife Betty, Burleson, TX; Larry and his wife Doris, Bryan, TX. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley (Locke) Johnson.
