Nancy Ruth Gormley

Nancy Tunison Gormley passed away October 30, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born September 16, 1941, in OKC and attended Catholic High School. She graduated in 1959 from the first class after it was renamed Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. Nancy graduated from St. Anthony Nursing School, practiced nursing, and was briefly a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines. She married James Dreis Gormley August 8, 1964, and eventually settled in Oklahoma City. They had five children, James Jr (wife Kristie), Hanna (husband Wes), Chris (wife Vonnie), Philip, and Andy (wife Lauri). Nancy loved shopping, traveling, meeting for lunch with her girl’s group, and her fabulous sisters-in-law. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ruth Tunison, husband James, son Philip, and her sister Betty.

She is survived by her children Jim, Hanna, and Andy of Oklahoma City, and Chris of Minneapolis, and her 9 grandchildren: Megan, Sarah, Zoe, Kohl, Dreis, Casey, Colin, Olive, and Piper. Nancy has 3 great grandchildren Greer, Sawyer, and Sloan. Services will be held at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church in April 2025.
