Noel J. Williams went to be with the Lord February 24, 2017, surrounded by family, at the age of 87. He was born December 2, 1929 in the Kolar Gold Fields, Mysore, India. His profession in the oil industry from 1952 through 1986 took him to Aden (Yemen), Doha (Qatar), Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He enjoyed spending time with his large family, and most of all he loved telling stories and teasing his grandchildren. He loved entertaining and his passion for music and dance earned him the names "Limbo King" and "Twinkle Toes." His life was his beloved wife, Enid; he was dedicated to family and he was the beloved "Papap" to his ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He never knew a stranger and touched the lives of everyone he met.
Noel is preceded in death by his parents: Ronald and Matilda. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Enid; 6 children, Esther Williams and Darrel Clouse, Noreen and husband David Matthews, Ingrid and husband Dr. Pavel Riha, Debbie Mills, Neville Williams and wife Lisa, Mariam and husband Mark Daly; grandchildren: Samantha Mills, Khal and wife Aubrey Daly, Dr. Alex and husband Blake Caldwell, Brian Daly, Hanna Daly, Christina and husband Chance Kelly, Kaitlyn Clouse, Nile Williams, Natasha Williams and Sarah Matthews; 4 great-grandchildren: Jude, Jadon, Aiden, Bella, and soon to arrive, Cavner.
An Evening Prayer Service will be held Monday, February 27 at 6 p.m. at Smith & Kernke May Ave. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Noel at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73120, with burial immediately following at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a memorial fund at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, his favorite charity. The memorial ID# is 10932716 under the name of Noel J. Williams.
