Dear Mom,
You quietly slipped away from us last weekend and we wanted to thank you for your wonderful life and your boundless love. All of us can reflect on that special moment in our lives that we hold dear with you, but we all agree that every moment we had with you was amazing.
Your beautiful blue eyes that adorned your lovely face. Your brilliant mind filled with artistic splendor that created and transformed our little kid world into fantasy land. Your love and respect for Daddy, who with great pride said, you were the smartest woman in the world. The love and protection that you gave your brothers Bill and Vern, when your mother passed away at a young age. The friendship you cherished with Ruth and Joan, protecting the unborn. The respect and reverence you soldiered saving the Latin Mass. The beautiful home you built for us to share and enjoy, leaving lasting memories for all our friends, and eventually, over 50 years, our children and grandchildren, who continue to say it was the most fun they ever had. The blue ribbon turkey dinners, the endless delicious banana bread, the Kool-Aid popsicles on the back porch, while we played jacks on a hot summer afternoon. The beautiful hand sewn Barbie doll clothes, the birthday parties, camping trips in the pop-up trailer, and the endless peanut butter sandwiches. Your fabulous fried chicken, strawberry and banana jello and your sleeping beauty naps on the couch. To get us off the phone, you always had to "stir your oatmeal", and at Bellevue, you always so perfectly wore your lipstick.
So many memories, mom, but most of all, thank you for loving us and making all of us feel special, regardless if our eyes were green, brown or blue. Thank you for loving us with a steady hand and a practical style that provided the greatest childhood a little one would ever want. We love you mom and we miss you.
We are grateful that you are with Daddy again. And we are extremely grateful that the Good Lord gently let you slip away.
All our love:
Susie, Ann, Carrie, Mary Jane, Tommy, Liz, Johnny, Joe, and Jessie.
