Olvna M. Faubion

Olvna Mae Fedde Faubion, devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, photographer extraordinaire, business woman, entrepreneur and volunteer, died Sunday, July 12, 2015. She was born in Elgin, Oklahoma and graduated from Capitol Hill High School, then married the love of her life, George Faubion, Jr. They moved to Norman in 1948 and opened Faubion Auto Parts & Service and raised two daughters, Pam and Debi. They retired at an early age and began Faubion Rentals, renting houses to OU students. They were both involved in St. John's Episcopal Church, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Jaycees, and many other worthy organizations. Olvna was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and Daughters of the King, an international Episcopal women's organization. She was a long-time member of Daughters of the Nile, an organization that supports Shriners Hospitals for Children, serving as "Queen" of this organization from 1994 - 1995. Whether being a camp counselor at St. Crispin's, planning a RedHat Convention, making dolls for children at Shriners Hospital or hosting parties for her girls' teenage friends after basketball games, she always did so with gusto, style and a smile on her face! She was a beautiful woman both inside and out, and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Olvna is survived by her brother, Patrick Fedde (Beverly); two daughters, Pam Troup and Debi Attorri (Bob). Services will be at All Souls' Episcopal Church, 6400 N. Penn, OKC, July 16, at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa Florida, 33607 or the Shriners Hospital Travel Fund, 3601 NW 36, OKC 73112.
