Oswald Preston Rainey, Jr.

Oswald Preston Rainey, Jr. "Ozzie", beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, was born on September 21, 1926 in Springfield, Missouri and he joined his Savior on March 21, 2019 in Oklahoma City. Ozzie was born in Springfield, MO but the family soon moved. He spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Tulsa, OK and Blytheville, AR. Ozzie married Mary Juanita Hollowell on November 28, 1946. He served two years in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. Ozzie worked for more than 37 years as a Freight Agent for Frisco Railway. He and "Nita" lived in St. Louis for more than 30 years before retiring to Oklahoma City. They were married for 64 years before Nita's passing in 2010. Ozzie was also preceded in death by his parents Oswald Preston Sr. and Mary Myers Rainey. He is survived by his daughter Lynda Beth Rainey Vandersall and husband Jim; granddaughters Allyson K. Gonzalez and husband Daniel, Heather Lynn Vandersall; great grandchildren Damien Rhys, Caydence Elise and Alexander Chase Gonzalez; sister in law Dee Rainey, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
