Patricia Ann Crosswhite died Friday, September 26, 2014, in Hennessey, Oklahoma. Services will include a prayer vigil Tuesday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m., and Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Hennessey, with interment following at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Smith and Kernke funeral service.
Trish was born the third child of Bryce and Mary Henderson, on December 29, 1952, in Altus, Oklahoma. She was a 1971 graduate of Altus High School and a 1975 graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She married Leon Crosswhite of Hennessey, Oklahoma, on September 16, 1974, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Altus. Trish and Leon made their home in Hennessey, where they raised their four children and owned and operated Crosswhite Spraying Service for twenty eight years. Trish was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Hennessey and served as sacristan for many years.
She was a woman of varied interests including travel, quilting, gardening, and sports. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Trish is survived by her husband, Leon Crosswhite and their four children; Katie, her husband Marcus Newby of Guthrie, their four children, Hanna, Benjamin, Sara Grace and Blair; Becky, her husband Aaron Strope of Trabuco Canyon, California, their three children, Jack, Molly and Luke; Maggie, her husband Yalcin Durguner of Oklahoma City; and Patrick Crosswhite of Oklahoma City. Also, her sister Barbara Nichols and husband John of Oklahoma City; her brother Tom Henderson of Sweetwater, Texas; her sister MJ Henderson-Smith and husband Rob of Cushing; her brother John Henderson and wife Kim of Eldorado; and brother Scott Henderson and wife DeeAnn of Altus, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryce and Mary Henderson of Altus; her aunt Francis Henderson of Kingfisher, and her sister-in-law Josephine Henderson of Sweetwater, Texas.
