Patricia Ann (Polete) Faison, born on November 16,1940 at Sloane Hospital in Manhattan, to Helen (Medalis) Polete and Charles Augustus Polete of the Bronx, New York City, departed this life on November 29, 2021. Patricia attended Public School 76 in the Bronx, and the Bronx High School of Science, graduating at the age of sixteen. She earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Queen's College in Queens NY. Upon graduation, she took a job as a chemist for the pharmaceutical company Hoffman LaRoche in New Jersey. Patricia was then offered an opportunity to do research at the University of Chicago, Ben May Laboratory for Cancer Research. After raising her children, Patricia went back to work in Clinical Research, eventually becoming a Senior Clinical Research Associate. She worked for a number of pharmaceutical companies, including Schering Plough and Merck, from the 1980s until her retirement in 2012. Patricia was baptized on December 22, 1940, at Immaculate Conception Church on Gun Hill Road in the Bronx, NY. She married Theodore Faison of Bloomfield, NJ at this same church on June 6, 1964. They raised their family in Madison, NJ, before eventually divorcing.Patricia lovingly served others, knowing all as part of herself. Later in life, she was active in the Institute for Spiritual Development metaphysical church in Sparta, NJ. She made friends easily, and loved everyone who came within her orbit. She always found things for which to be grateful, even amidst hardships. Patricia was a caring mother, grandmother, and friend. In 2019 she moved from Mt. Arlington, NJ to Lafayette, Colorado to be closer to her grandchildren, Lucas (6) and Mia (4). After a decline in her health related to bone cancer, she moved to Oklahoma City in August 2021. During her final months of life, she was lovingly cared for by her family. She is survived by her children Elyssa Faison (Kathleen Wallace) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Ted Faison of Randolph, New Jersey; and Chris Faison (Angela Cerci), and grandchildren Lucas and Mia, of Lafayette, Colorado.A memorial service will take place at 11am on July 17, 2022 at Pavinci Italian Grill in Hopatcong, NJ, followed by a repast. Family will accompany Patricia's ashes for interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ, at 10am on Monday, July 18.
