Patricia (Pat) Genelle Kramer passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City on Thursday, September 22, 2022, one week shy of her 94th birthday. She was born to Paul and Pearl Baldwin on September 29, 1928, in Elk City, where she spent most of her years attending school, playing with childhood friends, working part time odd jobs and enjoying spending time on her grandparents' farm whenever she could. Her family later moved to Clinton where she spent the last two years of high school, graduating in 1946. She then attended SWOSU in Weatherford for one year before being accepted to nursing school in Oklahoma City. Her desire to become a nurse was cut short by a marriage proposal from her soon to be husband, Charles. At that time, a nursing student could not be married and attend nursing school. She chose marriage and she and Charles were married in December of 1948. It was a marriage that would last nearly 60 years before Charles passed away in August 2008.The young couple made their home in Weatherford, where Charles worked with his father at The Dixie Store (known as The Peoples Store until the early 1960s). For most of the next 40 years, she would work with Charles at The Dixie, taking time off while her children were young. The Dixie Store closed in 1988. Daughter Sharon was born in 1953, and son Phil was born in 1956. Pat was a longtime member and active in PEO and various other organizations. She loved living in Weatherford and being part of the community and had many friends. She was very proud to call Weatherford home, even after moving to Oklahoma City in the early 1990s. After moving to Oklahoma City, she worked at Casual Corner in Penn Square for several years and developed many friendships during that time. After the death of her husband in 2008, she moved to Houston to be near her son, but returned to Oklahoma City about 10 years later. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Erroll. She is survived by two children, Sharon Latimer of Oklahoma City and Phil Kramer and his wife, Patti, of Houston; three grandchildren, Jeff Kramer and his wife, Sarah, of Oklahoma City; Kelli Kramer and her husband, Jacob Jenkins of Houston; and Ben Latimer USAF; and five great grandchildren, Charles, Walter, and Whitney Kramer, and Josh and Sam Jenkins.Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Temple B'nai Israel Cemetery, next to Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
