Patricia J. Mason, 88, was the daughter of Spurge and Eva Marie "Priscilla" Neely. She was born on Sept. 24, 1923, in Oakdale, California. She was a 1941 graduate of Central High School in Tulsa, OK, attended the University of Tulsa in 1942 and 1943 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma City University in 1962. On May 1, 1943, she married her long-time sweetheart, Robert A. Mason, in Tulsa, OK. In 1963, Pat and her husband started Robert A. Mason Production Company to develop and operate petroleum secondary recovery projects. It continued to operate until 1995. Pat has been active in the local leadership of the YWCA (she was volunteer of the year in 1988) and the American Association of University Women. Every month she lunched with the Lovely Ladies, a group that originated at First Christian Church in the 1960s. She was an avid duplicate bridge player and a life master. She loved to travel, frequently visiting her sons and their families in Honolulu and Pittsburgh. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Mason. She is survived by her sisters, Charlotte Hunter of Odessa, Texas, and Elizabeth Evasdaughter and her wife Louise Salstad of Raleigh, North Carolina; Sons, John Mason and his wife Marilyn of OKC, Andrew W. Mason and his wife Janet of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Matthew T. Mason and his wife Mary of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Grandchildren Sarah Mason Sears, Leslie Schlegel and her husband Steve, of OKC, Jennifer McCarthy and her husband Kevin of Roseville, California, Malia Mason and her husband Rob Quatrone of New York City, Timm Mason of Seattle, Washington and Kate Mason of New Orleans, Louisiana; and great grandchildren Isabelle Sears, Olivia Sears, Braden Schlegel, Ryan Schlegel, Reagan Schlegel, Kian McCarthy and Maya McCarthy. A Memorial Service will be held 11am Sat., September 1, 2012, at All Soul's Episcopal Church, 6400 North Pennsylvania, OKC, OK. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the YWCA or the American Association of University Women.
