Patricia Rayburn

Patricia Rayburn passed away on Oct. 31, 2012 after an extended illness. "Grandma Pat" loved holidays- Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays, Easter, it didn't matter- so it was appropriate that she choose Halloween to transform into an angel and ascend into Heaven. Born on March 2, 1929, Pat was preceded in death by her mother Florence "Cookie" Eberhardt. She will be remembered as a loving den mother, home room mother, head of the Burbank Bumblebees parent support group and proud supporter of her grand-daughters' athletic, dance and academic accomplishments. Pat cherished children, animals and her family and her meticulously wrapped Christmas and birthday presents will be a source of conversation for years. She is survived by her sons Scott and wife Janet, Jack and wife Pat, Jim and wife Kim, grand-daughters Anna and husband Dustin Simmons, Lacey and Brooke Rayburn, Taylor and husband Collin Hoover, Alex and fiancé Andy Broussard, grand-son Nash Simmons and her greatest care-giver, Jack Rayburn. A Viewing will be held from 1pm-5pm on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 with the family present from 3pm-5pm at Smith & Kernke. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Association.
