Paul David Pugh, 60, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on April 19, 2019. Paul was born to Lindley Coates Pugh and Norma Doris Pugh on July 27, 1958 in Alexandria, Virginia. He graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1976 and received a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Paul married the love of his life, Cathryn Combs Pugh in 1982. They lived together in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Together they raised two daughters. He leaves as his legacy: daughter, Jessica Strong and husband Wayne; grandchildren Evelyn Marie and Parker Joseph David. Daughter, Cara Vierra and husband Jaron; granddaughter Landry Ann. He also leaves to cherish his memory: sisters Sandra Lastowka Pugh and Dana Pugh Clerkin. He was preceded in death by Lindley Coates Pugh, father and Norma Doris Pugh, mother. His children remember his humor, selflessness, strength, and boundless love he had for his family. Paul loved being a grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren. Evelyn, Landry, and Parker always put a smile on his face. Paul was a teacher and coach and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. Paul was always cheering people on in sports, as well as in life, to be the best they could be. He always cared for others before himself and would lend a helping hand whenever he could. Paul was passionate about education being the great equalizer and everyone having the same opportunities in education. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday April 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Eugene Catholic Church with reception to follow in the meeting rooms. Interment of Cremains: Columbarium at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
