Paul Hudiburg, born November 4, 1922 in Henryetta, Oklahoma passed away February 13, 2011 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Since 1987, Paul lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was a farmer and then worked in the shipyards during WWII. Following the war, he became a Case Tractor dealer, and also sold Kaiser-Fraiser automobiles. At age 22, he bought his first car dealership at the urging of a local banker, H.B. Henson, in Prague, Oklahoma. Paul bought the Chevrolet dealership in Midwest City in 1957. Fifty four years and still going strong in Oklahoma, Hudiburg Auto Group has five dealerships. Paul was a self-taught business man and he relied on his common sense to help him become an outstanding and successful entrepreneur. Paul was involved in establishing over thirty automobile dealerships in the Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas area. Paul was instrumental in developing young, talented managers and he afforded them the opportunity to become partners and stockholders in various dealerships, many of which are still in business today. Paul was active in the Oklahoma Auto Dealers Association and the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce for many of his business years, as well as other various civic organizations. Born to Mary and Earl Hudiburg, along with his twin sister, Paula, he was one of nine siblings. Paul married Jean Biehl in 1942. They have five children, fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two more on the way. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lavon Meiers, Katherine Carrouth, and Lou Lease; brothers, Kimes Hudiburg, Joe Hudiburg, and Jack Hudiburg; grandson, Kevin Paul Stevens. He is survived by his twin sister, Paula Huber of Harlingen, Texas and Jane Martin of Edmond. He is also survived by the mother of his five children, Jean Hudiburg; daughters, Donna Dodson of Santa Fe, NM, Karen Wood of Kansas City, MO, and Paula Tate and husband, Ken of Mounds, Oklahoma; Sons, Steven Hudiburg and wife, Karen of Edmond, and David Hudiburg and wife, Lezlie of Oklahoma City; Peggy Foulston and her husband, John and their 3 children and five grandchildren of Wichita, KS. Paul enjoyed all of his friends and a special thank you goes out to his golf and gin partners, and the "Crispy Ducks" for your friendship for the last 20 years. You all meant so much to him. Paul's family also wants to thank the many friends who have helped with the arrangements; we couldn't have done it without you.
