Paula Swanner went to be with her heavenly maker on April 10, 2011. She was born in Neubekum, Germany on June 15, 1921 and moved to America in 1951. She married Ben Swanner and they were married 47 years until his death in 1999. Paula was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She had many talents, most of which were baking and cooking for others, sewing beautiful outfits, and needle point and crocheting. Everyone who entered her home enjoyed her created beauties and also the baked goods she made. Her goal was to always make everyone comfortable in her home. Paula loved decorating for the holidays and giving to others. She was a devote Catholic and a member of Christ the King parish since 1968. She was proud and very honored to be a Eucharistic minister for so many years. Her giving heart earned her name of "bread lady" to her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father of Germany, her husband, Ben, step-daughter, Jackie Perry, and several brothers and one sister all of Germany. Paula is survived by a daughter, Shirley Byford of Amarillo, TX, and two granddaughters, Lauren and Rebecca Byford of Tulsa, OK.
