Pete Novak, Jr. 94 was born on February 6, 1916 in Greaney, MN to Pete and Bertha Novak. Pete went to be with his Lord and savior on the morning of December 7, 2010 in the arms of his family. At the age of 12 Pete drove his family down from Minnesota to settle in Oklahoma City. During WWII he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Seabees where he helped build runways for planes on Pacific islands such as Saipan. After the war he went to work and took His Father's trade of being a carpenter. In time he became one of the most respected individuals in the construction business. He started Novak Construction and later Novak and Lackey, he was always known as a man who was honest and high in integrity. Pete and his wife Dorothy were one of the founding families of St. Patrick Church. He was very instrumental when the parish built their own church in the early sixties. Peter was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; his parents; and daughter-in-law Carolyn Novak. His survivors include his daughter Diane Novak Gardner and husband Jerry, son John Novak and wife Donna; grandchildren John Novak, Jr. and wife Sandy and their child Brianna; Thomas, Donald, and Lesley Novak; brother Emil Novak and sister Rose Marie Dodder.
