Peter Deane GillNovember 28, 1927 – February 15, 2022Peter was born in Kansas City to Deane and Esther Burt Gill. He grew up in San Antonio, attended Texas Military Institute, and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. After college he moved to Oklahoma City and was married to Nina Penn Gill for 56 years before her death in 2012. He became District Landman for Ambassador Oil Company and Division Landman for Anadarko Petroleum Company. In 1970 he moved to Enid, Oklahoma and became Vice President of Champlin Exploration and later Co-founder and President of Cirrus Production Company. He was pre-deceased by his wife Nina and his brother James Gill. He is survived by his sister Nora Gill of San Antonio; his three sons Pete, Ray and Jim and their wives Carol, Amber and Katie; his two grandchildren, Cheyenne, and Logan; and his dear friend Thalia Eddleman. Peter loved the oil business, flying vintage airplanes and was a member of Quiet Birdmen. He was a gentle caring husband and father who enjoyed reading, laughing, telling stories and even reciting family poems.
