Prasert Ruttan 73, was born on February 11, 1946 in Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, to Mr. Hai and Mrs. Huay Ruttanasirimaneevej. His parents were originally from China and migrated to Thailand in the 1900's. He graduated from Ratchasmia Witthayalai High School. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy, from Mahidol University in 1970. He worked for Ciba-Geigy Thailand Co. Ltd. before he migrated to Oklahoma in 1974, and eventually completed his MBA at Oklahoma City University in 1977. He planned to return to Thailand, until he met Lily and they married in 1981. They had two children, Kimberly and Nicholas. Upon finishing graduate school, he was offered a management position within McDonald's Corporation restaurant and after retiring from that he worked for H&R Block until he became sick in 2016. Prasert peacefully passed away on January 14, 2020 surrounded by those that loved him most. Prasert was exceptionally proud of his family and loved spending his spare time with them. His life was dedicated towards his family and keeping them happy. He enjoyed traveling with them, estate sale shopping, and cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister- Nongyao, and Brother- Prasong. Left to cherish his memory are: Lily Ruttan–San Diego and his beloved children- Nicholas Prasert Ruttan, and Kimberly San Diego Ruttan. His Sisters: Nongnuch, Nongnard, Sugunya, Nonglak. His brothers: Prasit and Prajak and many other nieces and nephews from Thailand.
