Raymond Eugene 'Reverend Raymond Eugene Hantla

Reverend Raymond Eugene Hantla was born in Fowler, KS, March 24, 1917, and went home to be with Jesus on Mar. 17, 2012. He stood in the pulpit for 35 years, sharing the Word of God and living his life that all may see Christ. He married Ella May Sturgeon in Enid, OK, after graduating from Bethany Peniel Coll., and Ella May remained by his side for 52 yrs before her death on May 23, 2000. After serving as a Nazarene pastor in Goldendale, WA for 3 yrs, Raymond moved his family back to Kansas City and attended Nazarene Sem. earning a M.Div. degree while he was employed by the Int'l Hdqrtrs of the Church of the Nazarene. He finished his working career at the Nazarene Pub. House in MO as an Editor-Proofreader. He ministered for 25 years across KS and MO serving as a true circuit preacher. After retirement, he served for years in many volunteer capacities at the College Church of the Nazarene where he was a member. After Ella May's passing, Raymond moved to OK, living out his days in Edmond. Raymond is survived by his 3 sons Ronald Paul, Mark Andrew, and Stephen Bentley, with spouses, Victoria Ann, Judith Marie, and Cynthia Ann, respectively. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grand children.
