Raymond George Adolph Kamp passed away on the 21st of July, 2012 at the age of 79. He was born in Oklahoma City on September 1, 1932 to Anna Marie Nolte Kamp of Johnson, Nebraska and Heinrich (Henry) Herman Kamp of Borgholzhausen, Germany. In accordance with German tradition, Raymond's middle names were given to him in honor of his two Godfathers. He attended Classen High School and graduated in 1950 from Wentworth Military Academy. He attended Oklahoma A&M College before applying for the Naval Cadet program. Raymond received his Navy Wings of Gold and was transferred to Cecil Field, Florida to become a Naval Aviator with Fighter Squadron 13 flying F-9F-8 Cougars. In 1958 he returned to Oklahoma City where he attended OCU and graduated in 1959 with a B.S. in Business. He began working for the First National Bank in the Corporate Trust Department and worked in Corporate Trust for 36 years. He retired in 1995 from Boatmen's Trust as Senior Vice President responsible for Corporate Trust Operations. Raymond was a member of SAE Fraternity and Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. He served several years as Treasurer of The Oklahoma City Coucil of Camp Fire Girls. Raymond was a Purple Martin landlord for over 45 years and looked forward to the Martin's arrival each year. He enjoyed working in his yard and with his flowers. Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Lyle Dulany Kamp; two daughters, Audrey Rae Kamp Micinski and her husband Gary of Decatur, TX and Denise Ellen Kamp Parsons and her husband John of OKC; four grandchildren, Kristopher Kyle Micinski, Stephanie Elise Micinski, John Preston Parsons and Drake Ramsey Parsons; sister, Bernice Kamp Wey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service for Raymond will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
