Regenia Mae Lewis Gregory was lifted to her eternal reward on Saturday, March 16.
The youngest of three children, she was born to Bernard Bedford and Ouita Faye Lewis on October 18, 1933 in Crawford County, AR. Her early years were spent in White Oak, AR. Her family moved to McLoud, OK during World War II where she graduated high school in 1950 at age 16. She moved thereafter to Oklahoma City and attended Draughon's Business College, which led to a job at Liberty Mutual Insurance where she became an office manager over all administrative staff. In 1961, while attending Trinity Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, she met Bob Gregory. They were engaged in June of 1962 and married on September 7, 1962, also at Trinity Baptist Church where they were both active members.
"Reggie" (as she was known by those closest to her) took great joy in having and raising her three children, Joanie, Paige and Grant. She enjoyed numerous family vacations throughout the years, especially those to the beach. Reggie loved music and possessed a lovely alto voice. Singing and making music were a joy she shared with and instilled in her children. Those family trips were filled with singing and laughter. For the last 25 years of her life Reggie endured and triumphed through numerous, serious health issues. Throughout it all, she demonstrated an unyielding will to live, to be with her family, and to serve others. This enduring strength was a true inspiration to all her knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert A. Gregory, her daughter Joanie Pullen and husband John, her daughter Paige Gregory, and her son, Grant Gregory and wife Charlotte, all of Oklahoma City, her brother, Bernard Lewis and his wife, Helen of Shawnee, OK and her sister, Virginia Cotten and husband, George of Farmer's Branch, TX. Additionally, she leaves behind four grandchildren, Garrett and Meredith Gregory and Jill and Jennifer Pullen, whom she adored. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. In addition to being joined in Heaven with her Savior Jesus, she is also reunited with her beloved grandson, Jordan Pullen.
She will be forever missed and remembered by her family and friends until we are gloriously reunited in eternity.
