Retha Lorenson

Retha Marie (Stines) Lorenson passed away on February 23, 2014 after a brief illness. Retha, also known as Marie to her closest family and friends, was born in Vinita, Oklahoma on July 9, 1938 to Joe and Retha Stines. She graduated from Miami High School in 1956 where she met and married Jerry Lorenson in 1963. In 1966 they relocated to Oklahoma City. Retha had a successful career in the role of Office Manager at R.R. Tway Construction Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her parents, and her sister, Eva Jo Johnson, She is survived by brothers Tom Shelton and John Stines, her children, David West, Mike, Tony his wife Dana, Sherry Rizzi-Cooper her husband Eddie, and Vince his wife Johnna, as well as seven grandchildren, Betty her husband Chad, Kailey, Brittnee, Dominic, Brandi, Austin and Davis, two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Haven and a number of nieces and nephews. Retha's greatest passion was her family and especially her grandchildren. She was extremely generous, giving freely to others even if it meant she had to do without. A memorial service will be held on March 7th at 2:00 pm at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave., OKC. OK
