Richard Harlan 'Dick' Osborne

Richard H. Osborne "Dick", 73, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed into the Arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September, 21, 2013, with his loving Family at his bedside. He was born in Belle Fourche, South Dakota on August 11, 1940, to Richard Lesley Osborne and Frances Ellen Shepard Osborne. Dick graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1958 and ultimately earned a P.E. Designation in Civil Engineering. He was married to Charlotte M. Price, his high school sweetheart and best friend, on October 25, 1959. Dick owned R. H. Osborne Engineering and previously worked at MacArthur Associated Consultants from 1986 to 2001. He has been an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and several other professional organizations for a number of years during his engineering career. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte M. Osborne and his three children; daughter Patti and husband George, son Rick and wife Debra, and daughter Charie; grandchildren; Graydon, Sara, Aaron and Garrett. Dick is also survived by brothers; Gary of Tuttle, OK, Dale of Broken Arrow, OK, Don of Rapid City, SD, Robert of Rapid City, SD, Curtis of Rapid City, SD and sister Donna of Rapid City, SD. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 27, 2013 at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home located at 14624 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK, 73134. A Viewing, at the Funeral Home, will be held from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 26, 2013 (Dick's Family will attend between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM).
