Richard Lee Dugger Jr.

Richard L. Dugger, Jr. of Edmond, Oklahoma and Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on October 28th, 2016 at the age of 70. Rick was born in Oklahoma City in 1945 and resided in both Edmond and Scottsdale. Rick was a member of the NW Classen graduating class of 1964. After receiving his degree from Oklahoma State University in 1968, he moved to Kansas City taking a position with Western Electric. Eventually, Rick returned to Oklahoma to pursue a career at Rockwell International where he became head of International Sales. This position gave him the opportunity to travel the world seeing events such as the Paris Air Show and giving him stories that his grandchildren will continue to tell. After a time as Vice President of Pulte Homes based in Denver, he decided to venture out on his own and relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. In 1989, Rick founded a business that changed an industry and is today a standard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Letha I. Sturdevant and her husband Phillip, Richard L. Dugger, Sr.; sister, Carolyn Emerson and step-son, Blake E. Naifeh. He is survived by his wife Eulene; daughter, Kristina K. Nicholls and husband Trafton; son, Richard L. Dugger III and their mother, Karen Dugger of Scottsdale, Arizona; step-children, Danielle N. Cronic and husband Chad and Stephanie L. Naifeh of Edmond, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his brother, Ron Dugger and wife Lumi of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and nephew, Scott Emerson and wife Christie of Portland, Oregon and maternal aunt, Nina Godwin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren he adored, Kylie and Paige Nicholls, Elyse, Avary and Brynn Cronic and Stella and Cy Naifeh as well as a large extended family. His love of and dedication to family was evident in all aspects of his life. He had a passion to inspire those closest to him to reach for and achieve their dreams. He delighted in time spent watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events and other activities. At an early age, Rick formed friendships that have lasted a lifetime. We will be commemorating Rick's life during the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church (8005 Dorset Dr., Oklahoma City, OK 73120) with entombment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
