Richard Todd Hartley, 47, of Oklahoma City, passed away on June 11, 2020 in Oklahoma City. Richard T. Hartley was born in Oklahoma City to parents Richard Jack Hartley and Angela Faye Antel on April 25, 1973. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, Richard attended Rosary Catholic Elementary, Mount Saint Mary Catholic High School, going on to earn an associates degree from Oklahoma City Community College. Richard had a passion for service, completing a brief stint as an EMT. Eventually, Richard went on to become a longtime employee of Kimray, working as an Engineer technician. Despite a six year battle with Leukemia, Richard never failed to bring laughter and joy to those around him, inspiring all with his fortitude and perseverance. Richard had a passion for creating, tinkering and building. With no project too big or too small, his ingenuity and pragmatic attitude, never ceased to amaze family and friends. He is remembered by family and friends as a lifelong learner, always seeking to view the world through a different lens. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years Laurie, his children Jocelyn, Jessica and Avery. In addition to his parents, he will be dearly missed by brothers Tony (Emily Hartley) and Tyler Hartley (AD Hartley), and his nieces and nephews Mandy, Mitch Emerick, Ethany, Ryan, Reagan and Eila and large extended family, especially neighbor and best friend Robert Holladay.Richard is preceded in death by Grandparents Earl Hartley, Stephen Paul and Ada Faye Antel. Uncles Earl Jr, Willian Steven, and Patrick Eugene Hartley. A Rosary and Memorial will be held at 7 pm on June 16, 2020 at Smith & Kernke on May Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on June 17, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Rick Stansberry officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patricks Cemetery.
