Rob passed away May 10, 2021, at his home. He was born March 18, 1975, in Oklahoma City, the son of Victoria Ann and Robert B. Holland Jr. He grew up in Edmond and graduated from Edmond Memorial High School. He went to work as a 911 dispatcher in 1993 and entered the Oklahoma City Police Academy in 1997. Rob was foremost a computer expert and spent most of his 24-year career as the computer forensics detective for the police department. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant in 2019, and has served on patrol since that time. As an officer, he was committed to serving others, never putting himself first. He was a member of Oklahoma City FOP Lodge #123. Rob enjoyed being a Ham Radio operator and loved flying remote control planes and helicopters. He is survived by two children, Chase and Hadley; his mother, Vicki; and sister, Victoria Holland and niece Scarlett. His father preceded him in death in 2009.Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Smith & Kernke Chapel on North May.
