Robert Bernard Scharoun II went to be with the Lord on Nov. 12, 2010. He was born in Oscoda, MI on Aug. 4, 1969. He had a passion for music and played the trumpet in Middle and High School in the jazz band. He was a graduate of Del City High School in1987. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing in 1991. At this time, he moved to Wichita, KS, and worked for Koch Industries. He later moved to Tulsa, OK, in 2001 and worked for Williams Communications. While there, he attended Tulsa University and received an M.B.A. He then began building a hotel in Tulsa which he owned and operated until the time of his death. He moved back to Wichita in 2005. Robert is survived by his two children, Matthew Robert and Mia Lynne who were the love of his life. He was a most devoted father, brother and uncle. He is also survived by his loving parents, Robert & Margaret Scharoun; sister, Susan Barnes and husband Robert and their daughter, Hope; sister, Alison Foster and husband Craig and sons Aiden Foster and Andrew Jackson; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by special uncles Paul Bristol and Bill Perry. Robert was a member of the Church of the Magdalen and the Knights of Columbus in Wichita. We will miss you every day and you will forever be in our hearts.
