Robert David "Bob-O" Hall, surrounded by his family, passed peacefully into the loving hands of his Lord and Savior on Nov. 11th in OKC. He was born in Alto, LA on April 18, 1931 to William & Leona Hall. Bob grew up in Palestine, TX and later attended the Univ. of TX. He graduated Cum Laude with a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the Univ. of Houston. In 1963, before moving to OKC to join Star Manufacturing Co. as VP of OPs, Bob was affiliated with American Steel Bldg Co. and Metallic Bldg Co., both in Houston, TX, followed by a tenure at Delta Steel Building Co. in Dallas, TX. He was a member of the Nat'l Society of Professional Engineers and was listed in the 14th Edition of the "World Who's Who In Commerce & Industry." In 1966, he was named to The Board of Directors at Founders Nat'l Bank and was appointed Exec. VP of Star Manufacturing. He became President of Star in 1968 and remained there until he retired in 1976. During the "Urban Cowboy" hype in 1979, Bob co-founded and built Cowboys Restaurant. In that same year Bob was "Looking for love in all the right places..." and met the love of his life, Jackie, over a game of bridge. They were married in 1980 on Valentine's Day. Together they enjoyed traveling, dancing, sooner football, a good glass of wine, and entertaining in their beautiful home. Bob sat on several boards including the Governor's Club, Junior Achievement of Greater OKC and OK Development Authority. Bob was a board member and President of the Daily Living Ctr. From 2005-2008 he received several Outstanding Builder awards for R.D. Hall Construction Co. Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter, card player, antique collector, pool player and golfer. He was one of the original members of Oak Tree CC and in 1971, had a hole-in-one at OKC G&CC. He was a faithful follower of Christ. He loved his Country, his Sooners, John Wayne and Ronald Reagan. Above all, he adored his wife Jackie, his family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Juanita Kestler; brothers, Charles Hall & Hervie Hall and daughter, Susan Hall. He is survived by his wife Jackie; children David Hall & wife Judy, DeWes Guarnaccia, J'Layne McClure Cosby & husband Scott, Jennifer McClure Van Meir, Jon McClure, Sister-in-Law Dorothy Jo Wise & husband Mason, 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, many close friends and his loyal companion "Charlie Brown." The family wishes to thank Terri King and the staff at EnTrust Home Health. Services will be held Tues. Nov 17th at 2:00 pm at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to Nichols Hills United Methodist Church.
