Robert Henry "Bob" Warren, Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 17, 2015, at the age of 94 years. Bob daily reflected the Fruit of the Holy Spirit - love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A native Oklahoman, Bob was born on January 27, 1921 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He lived most of his adult life in Oklahoma City - 63 of those years with his precious wife, Mary Caldwell Warren, who predeceased him in 2008. He started his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma; while at OU, World War II began, and he entered the Army Air Corps. Bob trained at UCLA and the University of Chicago as an aviation cadet in meteorology, serving at Tinker Air Force Base, Randolph Field in San Antonio, and the U.S. Air Base at Kunming, China. Bob often reminisced about his trip around the world "courtesy of the Army Air Corps" that took him through the Suez Canal, India, and over the hump to China, and eventually to Shanghai and across the Pacific to San Francisco. He was discharged as a Captain after over four years of military service. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 1948 and was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar. A third generation lawyer, his father and grandfather having practiced law in Choctaw County, Oklahoma, Bob began work in the law office of Homer Caldwell, his father-in-law, along with his brother-in-law, John Caldwell, and was a practicing attorney for over 50 years. He served as a Director of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, was a sustaining lifetime fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation, Bench and Bar Committee, Real Property Committee, as well as the Professional Responsibility Tribunal. Bob said he "enjoyed and delighted in the practice of law. The Rule of Law and the administration of justice, followed, applied and enforced by men and women of integrity, of moral character and wisdom, are absolutely the basis and foundation of a free people and society. As lawyers, we have a sacred duty and trust to so participate in and uphold the law and the administration of justice." Bob was a member of several organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of Oklahoma City since 1956, where he served as a Vice President in the '80s and Chairman of various committees. In addition, Bob was instrumental in helping to start the Kiwanis Club of Bethany. He was a life member of the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association and held season tickets to Sooner football for years. He was a long time member of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf with his friends in foursomes. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church for over 60 years and taught adult Sunday School for almost 50 years. He also served on St. Luke's Board of Trustees, as well as various committees and commissions. In addition to his wife, Mary, Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert H. and Helen Childs Warren, grandson Richard Morris, and his brother Ed Warren. He is survived by his son, Joe Warren & wife Nancy, Okla. City; daughters, Sada Millican & husband Jerry, Dallas, TX, Ann Warren & husband Chris Redman, Camas, WA, Jane Lundell & husband Bob, Denver CO. He is also survived by 11 beloved grandchildren, Robert H.
