Robert Allen Martin, 64, of Edmond, OK died on 10/1/12. Robert was born in Durant, OK, and his family moved to Texas a few months later. He had an older sister, Sherrie (deceased) and a younger brother, Steve (New Orleans, LA). Robert graduated from Amarillo High and attended the University of Texas. He was an entrepreneur at heart and pursued several avenues of work including owning one of the largest crane operations in Texas, defense contracting, and most recently, owned Pinnacle Spine, which supplies the tools and hardware for spinal surgeries. There wasn't anything that Robert couldn't invent, fix or improve. He was generous with his time and money and enjoyed teaching others. Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sister, niece, and several close male cousins. Many people mourn his death including his wife, Jody, his children and their spouses, and his five grandchildren. The family expresses their appreciation for the outpouring of love and prayers during this very difficult time. A visitation will be held at Smith & Kernke (14624 N. May Ave, OKC) on Thursday, October 4th from 5-8 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 5th at 1 p.m. at the Crossings Church Chapel (14600 N. Portland Ave, OKC).
