Robert M. Parmley passed away on January 8, 2008, in Oklahoma City. He was born on September 8, 1929 in Three Rivers, Texas, where he was the eldest of seven children, to Merton and Emma Commander Parmley. He grew up in Groesbeck, Texas and attended Baylor University. He later made his home in Oklahoma City where he was the president and owner of Geological Logging Company for over 35 years. He was a Veteran of Foreign Wars, having served in the Navy, a Master Mason, India Temple Shriner, and member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Bob loved visiting and 'shooting the breeze' with his friends, traveling, and being with his horses. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Francis Honeycutt. He is survived by his son, Robert W. Parmley and wife Janna of Oklahoma City; his daughter, Tamara Parmley of Las Vegas, and stepdaughter Karla Kerce and husband Tim of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Kathryn Parmley Harriman and Paula Parmley Alexander; three brothers, Jerry Parmley, Freddie Parmley, and James Parmley, all of Texas; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, in the Chapel at Smith & Kernke, 14624 N. May Avenue.
