Robert Warren (Bob) Price, 69, died Thursday, July 14 at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was born January 15, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Charles E. Price and Elizabeth (Libby) Y. Price. After attending school in Wisconsin and Alabama, he moved to Oklahoma City in the 1950's. He attended Edgemere School and Harding Junior/Senior High School, graduating with one of their last senior classes. After serving in the National Guard, he went to Central State College, graduating with a degree in Accounting. He was assistant manager of the new Lincoln Plaza. After he became a CPA, he maintained a private accounting practice. For several years he worked with John Crawford, former Insurance Commissioner, and became an expert in insurance matters. Bob moved to Albuquerque in 2000 to become president and co-owner of SouthwestRe, Inc. He retired to Galveston, Texas in 2005 and moved back to Oklahoma City in 2009. Bob married Constance Pauline Boaz Bailey in 1981 and they were happily married until her death in 2006. He was also preceded in death by Charles Price, his father. He is survived by his mother, Libby Price of Oklahoma City; sons, Andrew Price and wife Lesa of Ardmore, Tony Bailey and wife Vanessa of Oklahoma City; daughters, Leigh Anne Bradberry and husband Jon of Talihina, Sarah Justus and husband James of Rush Springs; sisters Nancy Alexander and husband Howard of New Jersey, Frances Jenkins and husband Ken of Maryland, and Julie Price; grandchildren, Jacob Bradberry, Jonathan Bailey, Katie Weis, and Hannah Bailey; and great-grandson Tristan Weis.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 20 at Smith and Kernke Funeral Home on May Avenue at 2 p.m. Internment service will immediately follow at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
