Ronald Eugene Vela

Ron passed away early Thursday, April 30, 2015 from complications suffered in a fall. Ron was born December 23, 1959 in Oklahoma City to Refugio and Olga Vela. He attended Bishop McGuinness High School and worked mostly in automotive related business which fueled his love of cars. He held positions at Jackie Cooper, owned a Snap-on distributorship and spent many years with O'Reilly Auto Parts. He is survived by his sister Fran McDermott, Fran's husband Terrance and their daughter Erin, his brother Edward and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the countless health care professionals that cared for Ron at Deaconess Hospital, Bellevue Health and Rehab, Select Specialties Hospital and Integris Hospice House. Private family services will be held at a later date with final interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
