Ronald Hugh Hutton passed away at his home surrounded by his loving wife and four children on June 15, 2018, following a lengthy illness. He was born July 16, 1946, in Blackwell, OK, and grew up in Braman. During high school, he was on the track team as a pole vaulter and played basketball and football. He continued to play football in college at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. He served in the National Guard where he said it was the best job ever as he was responsible for transporting high ranking officials. He received his license to sell insurance and made that his lifelong career. He lived in Ponca City for several years, before coming to Edmond 25 years ago. He married Theresa Moeder in 1986. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He coached their basketball teams all through middle school and high school and traveled all over the country with the teams, winning many national championships. Through his coaching and support, he impacted many lives. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Theresa; four children, Staci & Kirk Norris of Spring, TX, Shannon Hutton of Edmond, Jason & Renee Hutton of Edmond, and Savannah & Ryan Copley of Edmond; his sister, DeLoris & Richard Crow of Germantown, TN; and his 5 grandchildren. Memorial service will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 19 at 10 am at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
