Alvin "Ross" Reddington was born to Bessie Lorene and James Manuel Reddington on January 12, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri. He transitioned from this life and into heaven on Sunday, August 6, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, June Marie Slade, and his daughter, Alicia Rae Reddington. Ross was a dedicated Christian. He was a graduate of New York University and Traphagan University and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served from 1951 to 1953. Ross's career as a traveling salesman took his family to Sharon, Pennsylvania, and both Houston and Dallas, Texas before planting their roots in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a collector and loved tracing his family's history through genealogy. After retiring, Ross spent his days caring for and loving on his dogs who kept him active. Although nothing pales in comparison to the pride Ross felt about being a grandfather. Ross will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jayne C Reddington, his son Drew R Reddington (Melissa), his son André R Reddington (Leslie); 3 grandchildren: Emily C Reddington, Taylor R Lopez (Jose), Michael A Reddington (Lauren) and 3 great grandchildren: Lucas J Lopez, Chandler P Reddington, and Bennett A Reddington. A Visitation and Rosary Prayer Service will be held at 7pm on Friday, August 18, 2023 in the chapel at the Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73013. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. A live stream of the Saturday service can be accessed through the church website for those unable to attend in person.
