Roy Dickson "Dick" Workman passed away surrounded by his immediate family on February 7, 2015 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born in Oklahoma City on December 15, 1929. Dick was beloved by family and friends and never met a stranger. He was a cherished friend to many, known for his love of life and laughter. Dick enjoyed each of nine lives to the fullest. He was always adventurous from an early age and recounted the fun he had as a boy exploring the woods behind the Harn Homestead when staying at his Grandmother Nana's house. He was an Explorer Post Scout Leader at First Christian Church for many years. Dick made a memorable impact on many lives and recounted tales of teaching the Scouts to waterski. Dick graduated from Classen High School and attended OU where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was an avid sportsman enjoying waterskiing, snow skiing and golf. He mentored children in many ways during the span of his life through various organizations including the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Dick worked many years in Commercial Real Estate in the business his grandfather O.P. Workman started in 1904. He was a member of Bachelors Club, Fortune Club and sustaining member of the Board of Directors of Harn Homestead. He was an active supporter of the performing arts. Any day worthy of playing golf would find him on the nearest golf course. He and his wife loved traveling and have the best stories of their adventures. Dick is survived by the love of his life Anne Wileman Workman and his brothers John and wife Jane, Tom and wife Lis. He has three children: his daughter Stephanie Workman Abrahamson and husband Carl, Randy Schafer and wife Kristi, Deborah Dodd and husband Dane. Seven grandchildren blessed his life: Caleb, Ethan and Craig Abrahamson, Braden and Bennett Schafer, Morgan and Heidi Dodd.
