Russell G. “Jack” Horner Jr., 84, passed away on July 10 after a lengthy illness. Jack was born to Russell and Pat Horner in Miami, Okla., on August 17, 1939. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Caroline, sister Dorothy, and numerous family members and friends. The family also would like to extend special thanks to the caring staff at Vitality, now called Radiance.
Jack was an avid golfer, never missing an opportunity to play. If he wasn’t playing golf, he was spending time at Grand Lake, enjoying the outdoors with his family and beloved dogs.
Jack was a 1963 graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Law and a lifelong Sooner fan. He worked for Kerr-McGee Corporation for more than 30 years, serving in many capacities including executive vice president of Transworld Drilling Companies. Prior to his retirement, Jack held the position of senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
In lieu of a memorial or flowers, Jack has requested that donations be made to the Oklahoma Parkinson’s Alliance or the charity of your choice.
