Sammy Carl Kamas, 70, of Edmond, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on November 26, 2021 with his wife by his side after a difficult battle with Lewy Body Disease.Sammy was born on November 27, 1950 to Ruth and Richard Kamas in Beaver, Oklahoma. Sammy graduated from Midwest City High School in 1968, and then pursued a degree in Criminology at Oklahoma City University.After graduation, he and his brother owned and operated Cactus Jacks and Kamas Vending Company for over 36 years. He was passionate about life and loved his family and friends. Sammy was a friend to all who knew him. A kind man who would do anything for anyone. Sammy will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and love of life. In 1995, he met Donna Sue Gonzalez through mutual friends. Together they shared in the joining of their families and adored their children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughter, Samantha Tucker; his stepchildren, Jarod Gonzalez, wife Leisha, and Bonner Gonzalez, wife Megan; his six grandchildren; his brother, Jim Kamas, wife Gloria, and sons, Brett Bayouth and Jonathan Smith and his wife, Michelle; his brother-in-law, Curtis Fair, and his wife Tara and their sons Richard, wife Melissa, and Trey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.Services will be held at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church on Tuesday, November 30th at 10:30 a.m. There will be a viewing on November 29th between 4:00 – 6:00 pm. at Smith Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 North May Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
