Sandra Lynn Kelley

Sandra Lynn Kelley (nee Sprehe), age 69 of Oklahoma City, passed away December 6, 2020. She was born April 13, 1951 to Wilfred John "W.J." and Ida Clara (Yauk) Sprehe. Sandra was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City raised in the Messiah Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. She graduated from Putnam City High School, class of 1969. Sandra was an Oklahoma State Alumnus and die-hard Cowboys fan for life. She loved sports stats and trivia; knowing almost every big 12 football player and his stats and the like in both college basketball and the OKC Thunder.Sandra's career spanned thirty plus years in the telecommunications industry; retiring from Lucent Technologies. After retirement she enjoyed charity fundraising work for Equine Therapy Center, another fifteen plus years. She was a closeted hippie and essential oil enthusiast with a sharp wit, impeccable memory and a knack for getting straight to the point. In her former years, Sandra was known to be the life of the party. She treasured attending all of her daughter Lauren's sports and recitals as a devoted mother. She was a huge animal lover and rescuer. She especially loved Horses and was a nose-patting enthusiast. Cooking was her love language. Sandra loved nothing more than cooking delicious treats for her granddaughter and son-in-law. This most recent Thanksgiving she taught her famous macaroni and cheese recipe to her son-in law so that her granddaughter could always have it when wanted.Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, W.J. and Ida. She is survived by her former husband, Michael John Kelley; their only daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Lowry; son-in-law, Brian Lowry; and granddaughter, Maizie Elizabeth (Jane) Lowry; as well as her very close circle of cherished friends.Those wishing to honor Sandra may do so by contributing to either the Central Oklahoma Humane Society or the Pets and People of Yukon to help animals in need. Private family services will be held to celebrate the beautiful life and spirit of Sandra.
