Sandra 'Sandra Guzman Sweeney' Sweeney

Sandra Guzman Sweeney, 48, died on April 25, 2012 from complications due to a massive stroke. Born in McAllen, Texas, she was the daughter of Lalo and Melida Guzman. She attended schools in Pharr, Texas, graduating from Pharr high school. She attended the University of Texas, Pan American. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Sandra was active as a licensed Real Estate Broker, associated with Prudential Alliance Realtors. A loyal member of Christ the King Catholic Church, she was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Michael R. Sweeney, and her two sons Michael Loren Sweeney and Robert Chase Sweeney all of Oklahoma City. Predeceased by her father, she is also survived by her mother Melida Guzman of Mission, Texas; brother Bobby Guzman of San Juan, Texas; and sisters Cindy Guzman of Littleton, Colorado, Sylvia Carreras and husband Jose' Carreras, M.D. of Mission, Texas, Melissa Winn, M.D. and husband Curt of Austin, Texas; niece Cecilia Carreras and nephews J.R. Carreras, Peyton and Trevor Winn. Other survivors include mother-in-law Laura A. Sweeney, sister and brother-in-law Susan and Jerry Marshall also of Oklahoma City, and numerous aunts and uncles in south Texas. Rosary services are 7 PM at Smith and Kernke on Friday, April 27. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, April 28 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, Nichols Hills, with Reverend Rick Stansberry, presiding. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Church or to the Central Oklahoma Humane Society in honor of Sandra's beloved Labs, Pearl and Ruby.
