Sara Mae Starnes

Sara Mae Starnes, age 94, of Oklahoma City, passed away April 17, 2015. She was born October 3, 1920 in Glen Allen, Mississippi to Tim Hamilton and Louisa Ann (Jackson) Cleveland. Sara worked as a florist and had a lifelong talent for crafts, sewing and crocheting. Her and her husband Dan loved to travel. They were members of the Holiday Rambler RV Club and traveled across the United States together. They were among the first residents of St. Ann's Retirement Center in Oklahoma City and Sara was resident of the month twice. Sara and Dan were also longtime devoted members of Linwood United Methodist Church. Dan preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Milano and Sue Russell. Sara is survived by two brothers, Glenn Cleveland and Morris Cleveland; sister, Jo Ann Ragland; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at St. Ann's Retirement Center Chapel with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
