Sarah 'Sarah Reed Hall' Hall

Sarah Reed Hall, 80, of Oklahoma City, passed from this life on April 27, 2013. She was born in Carthage, Texas on January 23, 1933. She grew up in Tyler, Texas where she met and married Robert Hall in 1954. After marrying, she and Robert moved to San Antonio, Texas and then to Houston, Texas where they lived for 18 years. Their three daughters were born in Houston, Texas. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1969. Sarah was active in the St. Elizabeth Guild, Petroleum Engineer Wives' Club, Reveler's Dance Club, Quail Creek Golf and Country Club, and other organizations. She is preceded in her death by her parents, Glenn and Nellie Reed, and her brothers Charles Reed, Joe Reed, Ralph Reed, William Reed, and sisters Mary Lou Fontenot, Martha Jones, and Bonnie Sue Reed. She is survived by sister Patsy Reed Hughes and husband Richard of Lufkin, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her husband Bob of 59 years of marriage, and daughters Saralyn Hall, Stephanie Grantham, Shelley Denton and husband Rob Denton, as well as grandchildren Alise Denton of Fort Worth, TX, Jonathan Grantham, Ryan Grantham and Reagan Denton of Edmond, Oklahoma. Sarah was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be missed by all who knew her, and loved her until we see her again. The family would like to thank Hospice of Mercy Health Center and Home Instead of Oklahoma City for their kindness, support, and care. Funeral services will be held at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 2400 W. Hefner Road, Oklahoma City, at 10 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the charity of your choice. Graveside services will be held at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7801 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City.
