Scharlotte Kay Rohrer Myers was born on October 14, 1966 in Oklahoma City. After a courageous battle against breast cancer, she went home peacefully on October 16, 2017. Scharlotte attended Oklahoma City's Western Village Elementary School, North Highlands, Eisenhower Middle School, and John Marshall High School, graduating in 1984. Her early career was at McGraw Hill School Division and for the last 25+ years has been employed at Radiology Associates. On September 13, 1991 she married Michael D. Myers, a graduate of Putnam City High School (PCO). On January 14, 1993 they gave birth to their firstborn, Tyler David, followed by Kaylee Mackenzie on July 26, 1999. Diagnosed with triple-negative metastatic breast cancer in April, 2011, she showed her grace and strength until her passing.
Her greatest joys were time with her children. Whether watching Tyler play little league baseball to Kaylee playing soccer, these were some of her favorite moments. She was their biggest fan. Prior to her passing she was able to celebrate major life events for each—wedding dress shopping with Tyler's fiancé and moving Kaylee into her college dorm for the first time. She enjoyed sunny days on the back porch with Mike watching NASCAR and knew every line of television's most popular crime shows. With Mike came the Myers clan—in-laws, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. The Myers enriched her life at every turn and surrounded her in their love. Her favorite meals were chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and the "magic" chicken and dumplings. For dessert she loved peppermint ice cream with chocolate sauce and Carnival Cruise Lines saw the consumption of soft-serve ice cream hit an all-time high when she was on board.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Dale Myers, their children Tyler and Kaylee, mother and stepfather Marla and Bob Strecker, father Kay Rohrer, brother and sister-in-law Scott and Vanessa Rohrer, nephew Jake, daughter-in-law to be Stefanie Trousdale, grandson-to-be Rowan, and many extended family and friends.
