While attending Oklahoma State University, she met her first husband, James P. Devine, and they had three children, Chris, Mark and Lori. Sharon had a love for family, life, friends, reading, and music, especially Frank Sinatra. Sharon joined Quail Creek Golf and Country Club in 1960, and was a member until 2021. Sharon began attending Saint Charles Catholic Church, and later became a member of Christ the King. She was preceded in death by her mother Henrietta, her second husband Gene Young, and her beautiful children Lori and Chris Devine.
