Shawn graduated from Woodward High School in 1988 and then moved to Oklahoma City to attend the University of Central Oklahoma. After graduating from UCO with a degree in biology, Shawn began working for Labcorp where he worked for the next 22 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Roseanne, and his grandfather Stanley Paciorek. Shawn loved doing things with his wife and children. He was the dad who would ride the roller coaster with the kids at amusement parks and would take the kids swimming in the summer. He loved movies and enjoyed taking his children to every new film that came out. He and Michelle enjoyed traveling together, especially their trips to Italy. He was a very kind and giving man. He had many friends including those who followed his podcasts online. A favorite podcast topic was the Green Lantern. So, for his followers: " In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, beware my power…Green Lantern's Light!"
