Shawn Laray Amend

Shawn's light will never dim for her family and friends. She was born in Oklahoma City to Darrell and Wanda Palmer. She was a graduate of Westmoore High School. Her husband, Jeff R Amend which she met, hired and shortly married by exchanging their vows on the shores of Spain. Together they enjoyed wave running, swimming, camping, fishing and loved to be outdoors with their dogs. She was selfless in her relationships with her family, friends and her animals (especially her companion, Buddy). Survivors include Jeff; her parents Wanda & Darrell Palmer of McLoud; a daughter, soon to be mom, Timber Jordan and Brad of OKC; Kelsey & Mackenzie Amend daughters OKC; paternal grandmother Sara M Palmer, OKC; a brother Darrell Palmer and Daveeda of McKinney, TX; a sister Tina Bessler and Joe of Chickasha and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins which will miss her joy and spirit. Jeff is son of Bob & Diane Amend. Jeff thanks Edmond Integris Hospital staff for their tireless efforts. Viewing will be from 9am to 7pm on Friday, Oct. 10th at the funeral home. Services will be at 2pm on Saturday, Oct. 11th at the funeral home chapel with a reception to follow. Memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Research, www.bcrfcure.org.
