Sheila Glen Palmer Patterson passed away on January 25, 2017 in Oklahoma City surrounded by her loving family. Sheila was born on May 21, 1948 in Oklahoma City. Although spending most of her life in Oklahoma City, Sheila had a wonderful experience living in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) for two years while her father served in the Foreign Service as a press liaison in the early 50's. Sheila attended Harding High School and was a graduate of Oklahoma City University. She was a mortgage banker working at First Mortgage for 26 years before retiring early because of failing health. During her retirement, she served as a volunteer for the Oklahoma City National Memorial. Sheila loved many things; among those were reading, watching the Olympics, supporting University of Oklahoma athletics, the Oklahoma City Thunder and watching her favorite dance shows on television. Her daughter, Amelia, was the light of her life. Amelia brought unending joy to Sheila and provided all the experiences and adventures a daughter can bring. Sheila was married to the love of her life, Harold, for 34 years. Sheila was the daughter of the late Bruce and Leila Palmer, also of Oklahoma City. Sheila is survived by her husband, Harold, a daughter Amelia, one brother Laird (Beth) of Cedaredge, CO, and many, many friends. Memorial service will be held Thursday February 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church Christian Life Center in Oklahoma City.
